Founder and CEO of The Monioro Group, Darren Monioro is a force to be reckoned with in the business world. Having built successful companies from scratch, he has a keen eye for opportunities and a willingness to take risks to achieve success. He is a passionate entrepreneur and is focused on innovating with each new venture and at the same time always giving back. As the eldest child of a working-class family, taking responsibility became second nature to Darren. This ethos is the foundation of The Monioro Group and has evolved into a desire to pass on the wisdom and experience he has accumulated during a career rich in challenges and success.
Darren’s entrepreneurial journey began over a decade ago, when he established The Monioro Group after graduating from university. After gaining a first-class computer science degree at Kingston University and a role in investment banking, at a business seminar Darren was inspired by international speaker Vincent Dowd. This inspiration motivated him eventually to leave investment banking and embark on a career in business. Armed with a 1st Class Honors degree and a dream to make a difference in the world, he set out to create a company that would deliver innovative products and services to consumers around the globe.
Over the years, Darren, and The Monioro Group have built an impressive portfolio of ventures across a variety of industries, including Tech, Finance, Hospitality, and even real estate development. In addition to his entrepreneurial ventures, Darren has also established himself as an advocate for diversity and inclusion in the business world. He has a deep understanding of building businesses, and is committed to sharing this knowledge, to address the lack of black business ownership and economic influence in the UK. This commitment is how he founded The B.O.X, the newest addition to The Monioro Group. The B.O.X provides a platform with a simple yet powerful mission at its heart, to champion the sharpest minds in black enterprises by helping them to unlock their full growth potential so that we can truly realize the economic value of 'Black Owned eXcellence'.
Despite his many accomplishments, Darren remains humble and committed. He attributes much of his success to The Monioro Group team, who are an integral part of his vision and mission. He is a strong believer in collaboration and is always looking for ways to bring on board the best talent and build strong relationships with partners and investors. Looking ahead, Darren is excited about the future of The Monioro Group and the many opportunities that lie ahead. He sees enormous potential in emerging technologies and is committed to staying at the forefront of innovation in order to realize his ambitious vision for the future. He is now busy working on a new venture which combines his strong passion for technology, wealth building and property investment.
